Exhibition 'The Girl with the Pearl Earring, from the Past to the Present'

From 6 June to 31 August 2025, the Vermeer Centrum Delft will host the exhibition ‘The Girl with the Pearl Earring, from the Past to the Present’ by René van den Berg. The exhibition consists of 18 works of The Girl with the Pearl Earring, in which digital artist van den Berg was inspired by the silence and mystery in Vermeer's works.

Oldest resident of Delft pastes first puppet artwork 350 years Vermeer

On 15 December 2025, Delft artist Rene Jacobs plans to unveil his tribute to artist Johannes Vermeer. On that day, it will be exactly 350 years since the world-famous artist died. The tribute consists of his version of ‘Gezicht op Delft’ consisting of 110,851 small dolls. This is as many inhabitants as Delft has on that day.

From March 1 to June 1, 2025, the Vermeer Centrum Delft will host the temporary exhibition ‘Vermeer by a new generation’. Students from Atelier Sint Lucas in The Hague are showing a special collection of small, refined works inspired by Vermeer's masterful painting. From detailed studies to modern interpretations, the exhibition illustrates how his legacy lives on in today's art.
